There are a range of activities going on across the museums on site at Winchester's Military Museums during February half term. The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum A FREE Valentine's Day Trail and colouring in during Feb half term from the 11th Feb- 17th Feb. Children are FREE to enter the museum. The Rifles Museum Sword Making 15 – 16 February 2023 Make and decorate your own sword from cardboard and tin foil. Did you know that in The Rifles, what the rest of the Army usually call ‘bayonets’ are known as ‘swords’? Come along to discover why! 10:00 am – 3:30 pm Suggested donation: £2 Recommended age: 4+ The AGC Museum Make your own hand print lion and find Addy the Lion on the Museum Trail Available throughout half-term from 10.30am - 3pm Donations welcome, Museum entry FREE The Gurkha Museum Tuesday 14th February 11am 3pm. Make your own foil tin hearts, garland of tiny hearts sewn on to sari fabric. and Valentines postcards. You can even try out our kids trail around the Museum! Oh and did we mention our popular Nepali curry tastings will also be available? Activities are FREE of charge but we welcome donations to support the work of the Gurkha Museum Trust. Children are FREE to enter the museum. The Royal Hampshire Regiment Museum Embroidered Card Making activity as well as a design your own Sweetheart Brooch Colouring activity. People are welcome to create Valentines cards for friends and loved ones and design sweetheart brooches linking to our temporary exhibition on letter writing - Return To Sender: Post of the Past.
